Serving our Jewish Community
Our Hebrew School is a long standing tradition at the Beaches Shul. We shape the school as per the needs of the community. Our one-room cheder style class works very well for kids grades 1–7 to learn at their level of Jewishkeit, often with siblings in the same class.
Beaches Shul Centennial
At Rosh Hashanah 2019, the shul commences a year-long celebration of our 100th Anniversary. We are planning a Rosh Hashanah kiddush luncheon to kick off the year in style, a torah procession with our Hebrew School children around the time of Simchat Torah, and a musical concert just before Purim featuring two cantors and some of the terrific musical talent within our congregation.
Every Wednesday, from October to May, our volunteers prepare and serve a warm and nutritious lunchtime meal for about 20 - 30 guests. Local churches provide lunch on the other days of the week. Together we have been doing this for 21 years!
