Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities: A Message from Kim

Many years ago when I was starting my career, I did a lot of volunteer work for my professional association. I saw how crucial the volunteers were to the ultimate success of our educational workshops and conferences. Our team of helpers was large enough to ensure that no single person was overwhelmed or overworked. We all pitched in to get the job done, and we had a lot of fun too!

This is why I want to ensure that we have many helping hands for all of our events during this important year of celebration. There is something for everyone. Here are two opportunities for you to be part of our centennial year:

●      Our kickoff event will be a special community Kiddush following the services on the first day of Rosh Hashanah. We will need several volunteers to set up the Social Hall and to clean up afterwards.

●      We have an interesting project for anyone with an artistic bent. Over the years, the shul has amassed a large collection of photographs. We hope to create an attractive display of photos - perhaps in a collage - for all to enjoy.

If these opportunities appeal to you, or if you would like to do something else, I would love to hear from you. Please send an email to or phone 647-502-3124.

Centennial Kickoff Kiddush!

To start our year of centennial celebrations, the shul is sponsoring a kiddush luncheon at the end of services on the first day of Rosh Hashanah. If you are attending services that day, please join us afterward downstairs in the Arie Nerman Social Hall.
